In recent years the climate of the New Jersey music scene suffered a major meltdown with the loss of just about every all-ages venue in the state. On top of that an influx of carbon copy screamo repeats lacking the substance that bands like Thursday once pulled off so genuinely charged the field and took over. Though we found that sometimes it takes a complete wash out to wipe the slate clean and open doors for new talent to enter and set a new bar. Lately the talent has been turning up in unlikely places like Metuchen, NJ, with their finest accomplishment yet, The Roadside Graves.
